A long term member of Irelands Blue Book, Dunbrody Country House epitomises the Georgian manor house experience, but with a few modern twists. Owned and operated by husband and wife team Chef Kevin & Catherine Dundon, Dunbrody reflects their joint passion for excellence in all areas - modern country house cuisine and a friendly, relaxed service, luxury accommodation - all within the centuries-old walls of this beautiful 200 year old property.
Re-define your interpretation of the traditional Irish country house hotel. Yes, you will find the expected relaxed elegance of its Georgian origins with the original 1830s Irish oak floors, pitched pine window shutters, high ceilings, twinkling chandeliers and crackling turf fires. But this is all mixed with a palette of rich, earthy colours, plenty of natural sunlight streaming in the picture windows, all the modern must haves such as complimentary Nespresso in all rooms, wi-fi throughout, natural eco-friendly bathroom amenities from Damana, Apple Radio, chic champagne bar and sunny terrace. Sustainable eco-friendly luxury is our focus throughout the hotel and in our bedrooms you will find paraben free herbal-based toiletries in refillable units, water bottled inhouse and flowers from our own gardens.
Dunbrody Estate Escapes - we also offer a couple of lovely options to the hotel accommodation here on the estate: firstly the 1830's Steward's House sleeping up to six and offering spacious sitting room/dining room, terrace, TV room, kitchen with original features such as open fires, Rayburn stove. The original Gate Lodge also offers a fully self catering option with two doubel rooms, cosy sitting room and dining room/kitchen with sunny terrace.
Also available to book is our woodland retreat - The Cosy Cabin, tucked away in the woods beside the Herb Garden and west-facing overlooking the valley it perfect for enjoying the fabulous sunsets. The cosy cabin sleeps up to four and offers a back-to-nature away from it all option for those looking to escape and really chill out for a couple of days. A digital-detox to rteally switch off.

Lie in til Noon with breakfast late very day, indulge in a good book in front of a crackling open fire, lazy afternoons dozing on the sunny terrace, soaking in the bath maybe with a glass of bubbly on the side?
