Location

Dunbrody is located in the pretty coastal village of Arthurstown, right on the stunning Hook Peninsula on Ireland's South coast. Two hours drive south of Dublin or east of Cork Dunbrody is ideally located for those looking to discover Ireland’s Ancient East.  Known as the sunny south east Wexford boasts the highest number of sunny days in Ireland making us a year-round destination.

The dual Viking towns of Wexford and Waterford are easily accessible from Dunbrody – ½ hour drive will you bring you to Wexford town, home to the Opera Festival and numerous year-round festivals. Close too is Rosslare port and for those travelling to and from the UK Dunbrody is a perfect first night or last night stay.   The Passage East car ferry will bring you across the Waterford estuary to Waterford which is only 12km away. Home to the famous crystal, Waterford also boasts an amazing array of attractions and once again this is year round. The street festivals are well worth visiting - Winterval at Christmastime, Spraoi in Summertime. 

 How To Get Here - Driving: Eircode Y34R597

  • From Dublin Airport take the M50 and then M7/M9 staying on the M9 til then end, follow the N25 towards Rosslare and New Ross for 10km and then take the Rose Kennedy Suspension bridge over the river and into Co Wexford connecting with R733 to Arthurstown (2 hours)
  • From Dublin City Centre take the M50 to M11/N11 to Wexford/Rosslare and then the R733 to Arthurstown (2 hours drive)
  • From Cork take the N25 to Waterford, and over the Toll bridge, keep following the N25 towards Rosslare and New Ross for 10km and then take the Rose Kennedy Suspension bridge over the river and into Co Wexford connecting with R733 to Arthurstown (2 hours)
  • From Kilkenny either take the scenic route R700 to Thomastown/Inistioge and on to New Ross, Ring Road around New Ross and R733 to Arthurstown. (1 hour drive) or choose the M9 Motorway connecting with N25 and R733 (also 1 hour)
  • There are a couple of options for public transport with Irish Rail to Wexford or Waterford and taxi to us or with Bus Eireann.
