Full on Irish Cookbook

Dunbrody Country House is not your average corporate venue - a warm and inviting stately home combined with a superb professional attitude.  We offer a very personalised service and superb conference facilities combined with food that is very hard to beat and menus that are individually styled by Celebrity Chef and Owner Kevin Dundon.

Private Dining Facilities, the award-winning Harvest Room restaurant , Hotel Bar of the Year 2008 - Dundons Champagne Seafood Bar...and for the ultimate team-building the Dunbrody Cook Off:

If you need to get your team away for some team-building and want to find something not only original but also quite unique?  Why not look at the Dunbrody Company Cook Off?  Designed by Masterchef Kevin Dundon this corporate package is a fantastic way to loose the suit and don the chef whites & apron.

Arrive at Dunbrody conference hotel in Wexford Ireland just in time for lunch at Dundons’ Chamnpagne & Seafood Bar but don’t relax too quickly!   Each member of the group is given a personalised signed copy of Kevin's latest book Great Family Food along with their chef whites to get into the cooking mood and come up with some ideas.  They cannot copy any of the recipes but can use them for inspiration!

The main group is then split into two smaller groups and each group is assigned a chef to oversee them in their “cook-off”.  The groups are briefed together so each has the same information and they are then split up and one group goes to the cookery school kitchen and the other to the main hotel kitchen with their respective chefs.  The groups are given access to a larder, the Dunbrody Kitchen Gardens, Herb Garden, Orchard and Hens and also given a “Mystery Basket” of seasonal ingredients.

It is up to each group to design a dish or even more than one dish using these ingredients and anything they can harvest from the larder & gardens.  They can split into sub-groups if they wish or stay altogether.  They must design the dish, the recipe and cook off against the other group within a given time-frame and then each dish will be judged by Kevin Dundon and awarded points based on creativity, flavour and presentation.

The Dunbrody chefs will of course lend to the pressure by giving their assigned group that extra push not taking into account whatever position he or she may hold in their own company! This all adds to the fun and brings everyone to the same level.

Maybe later on relax with a spa treatment in our luxurious spa before pre-dinner drinks followed by the Dunbrody Gourmet Tasting menu with wine pairings and finally sink into a luxurious comfy bed for the night.  Perfect for soothing away any remaining stresses and taking full advantage of a lovely long lie-in next day with breakfast served til Noon.
